Six Sentence Stories

Posted Wednesday November 9

It’s the final draft of my best story yet so I’ll read it once more to ensure it’s correct.

I know it’s here somewhere, but where tell me where; I wrote it last night when I sat in this chair.

Twelve hours spent scribbling, scratching my head, screwing up paper and longing for bed.

My pen is still here and my blotter and ink, but as for my draft I just cannot think.

Has it dropped on the floor or under that book, maybe tucked in those papers; where else can I look?

There’s just one thing for it, this place is a mess, so I guess now’s the time to sort out my desk!

Our cue at Six Sentence Stories is Draft

  5. A dilemma I can easily relate to. I was afraid that you were going to conclude his draft work was only a dream! Although I do my writing on my netbook, so that's easy to find, photos are a mad scramble on assorted electronics and internet "clouds". I wish I could remain as organized as I once was when younger!
