In all of the world, that room is where she belongs
Love the play of contrast here...poignant...
I like the play between what the poet chooses to reveal and what he keeps for himself. I hope the happiness keeps her strong.
I imagine it is hard to visit a room where there WERE happy memories that exist no more. The silence CAN be deafening.
Yes it is sad to leave a place that has been happy. But if she does not leave it will not remain a place of happiness--o place of emptiness instead.
Eventually we all have to get out there but I can relate to the feeling
Hopefully every stage of life can be like this... having joy in the next room, too!
growing up, moving on. It is hard, but memories can sustain a person for a lifetime.
moving on is the hardest part for the memories are so beautiful u'd wish to stay back in them!!! sigh!Brilliant poem there! :) Love your take on the prompt!
Having moved house often, I know that feeling all too well!
There are always times to leave and times to stay, you have captured the ache of the heart here.
A silent goodbye... To be able to move on and weave the magic of new memories. I so understand :)
Silence is where the memories carry the loudest sometimes....a beautiful write Keith!
reminds me of moving and leaving rooms forever
They say sound never dies out.She is happy with those past sounds in her memories...Nicely penned.
