Jane, I’ve found the perfect place, a penthouse no less! Amazing views...well, far-reaching views. It needs a bit of touching up, but you love DIY.  Some filler here, a lick of paint there, and you’ll need to bang in some picture hooks. There are a few cracked windows but you’ll easily fix them. Several kitchen cupboards have collapsed so I’ll get you some screws. The roof leaks a bit, but don’t worry, I’ll hold the ladder for you, and as you love playing with Lego you'll find rebuilding the chimney a doddle. Me? Oh, I'll plug in the television! So, what do you think?

Thanks to Rochelle for hosting and J Hardy Carroll for the picture.

  2. Dear Keith,

That's what we call a real fixer upper. Nicely done.

  3. I think either Jane or the guy--or both--belong in the loony bin :)

  4. I think a slap in the face might be an apt response from Jane!

  5. Hi Keith - well there's a thought ... poor Jane - but perhaps needs must and perhaps she's better at DIY than him ... but a great take on the photo prompt ...cheers Hilary

  6. Wouldn't be such a bad place as long as you could bring it up to code.

  7. Not a bad place, if Jane could get her husband to chip in :)

  8. I hope he realizes that an all-woman jury would easily acquit her.😁

  9. When my ex and I divorced, friends asked how I could stay in the house we built together. I reminded them that I did all the work around here, so not much to remember him by (one extra step on the deck?). Here's hoping she dumped 'el cheapo' and found a decent place for one. Or else short-out the TV plug?

    1. Haha! Exactly the opposite to me - I did all the work and she lives in it to this day! Cheers Denise.

  17. This has happened to me, except the roles were reversed. My wife often dreams up DIY projects which "we" can do. For some reason, her role is that of Supervisor while mine is grunt labor. Good one, Keith

Dear Tarzan. You can start by sanding the floors - that doesn't take too much skill, so even you should manage it. I shall need someone to haul bricks up to me as I work on the chimney; you may be stupid, but you've got some muscle, so the task won't be beyond you. Oh, and I think it had better be my name on the property title, as I'm the bright one; but you can pay.
    Love
    Jane xx
