Post 1541. Sunday June 4

Sunday Photo Fiction

June 4 2017.    From our Foreign Correspondent,  Perseus

Reports are coming in from around the world that statues are unexpectedly materialising at airports and railway termini. Plaques at the feet of these statues credit the work to a previously unknown sculptor going by the name Medusa and their sudden appearance is being compared to that of the works of the invisible graffiti artist Banksy.

Interpol is currently looking into reports of a female being spotted in each of the locations who appears to be wearing a hat resembling snakes. Athens International Airport has issued a CCTV image of the person concerned recorded this morning. The public is being warned not to approach her, nor make eye contact.

We understand that several passengers who recently travelled on Greek flights have been reported mything, and it is said that the statues bear an uncanny resemblance to these people.

A silly story for this week's Sunday Photo Fiction where the picture is provided by C E Ayr. Thank you kind sir!

  1. Hi Keith - fun read ... but I don't wish to meet with Medusa and most definitely will keep my eyes away ... the statues look to add interest ... cheers Hilary

  3. Great punning. I think this story could be expanded upon. What an adventure or mystery this could be.

  5. As long as no Weeping Angels or Monks pop up around town, I am A-OK. Else I'll have to call the Doctor.

  6. One of those interesting and wonderful co-incidences. I hadn't read your response to SPF when I did my short Medusa as mother.
Funny how sometimes similar thoughts come to mind, prompted by a photograph. I had just finished watching the original Clash of the Titans when I wrote my short piece. I thoroughly enjoyed your "newspaper article" and agree with Denise -- No Weeping Angels! Still get nightmares over those.
