Sunday Scribblings 2

She was bent on leaving. It was just a matter of finding another job. Sitting at console wearing a headset and listening to complaining customers was okay at first, amusing in a strange way. But not now.

She bent a paper clip into a question mark hoping it might help with her quest. As she did so, she gazed from the window and watched as her boss drove into the car park in his gleaming Bentley. He made a complete hash of parking it, almost bending its bumper on a gatepost. It gave her an idea.

That was six months ago. She still works for the same company, but now she wears a uniform and a chauffeurs’ peaked cap.

The given word at Sunday Scribblings 2 is Bent

  1. Hi Keith - good job change ... but I hope she enjoys driving around at the whim of the Bentley owner! Cheers Hilary

  3. Hopefully her boss is a nice guy, then it could be a fun job. Having spent many years in offices answering phones all day long, I can attest to the fact that I detest them now! By the end of the day one grows very impatient and it's hard to even remember your own name!

    1. Thankfully that's something I've never done! It must be mind numbing.
