Three Word Wednesday

Posted Wednesday May 4

This week's given words are:- winding, unselfish and amoral.

It was a most unlikely alliance. After all, Florence was held in great esteem by the ladies of the village. An unselfish and generous soul. What she didn’t know about cross-stitch and making marmalade wasn't worth knowing. Then along came Shifty Shaun.

Shaun was a right one. Dodgy dealing was his stock in trade, and he had contacts in the under-village. Meet him behind the Dog and Duck after dark and he'd sell you anything from pilfered potatoes to stolen sausages. Amoral? Maybe a little. Only last week he obtained me some interesting mushrooms ... but that's something I'd rather you kept to yourself man! Wooo!

The thought of them winding up together was near inconceivable but wed they did. They moved to another village some miles away where Shawn was unknown, and they set up a very profitable business selling bits and pieces at local fairs and house parties. He provided the stock, and she sold it. After all, Florence was held in great esteem.

So if you need any cut-price cabbage, cheap champers or cut-price cannab....whoops.... give me a bell and I'll tell you where to go!

  6. Sadly, this sounds like a perfect match up in terms of profitable business, but it's very sad that she Florence linked up with such a low-life, it is sure to all fall down in the end.

I never cease to be amazed at the stories you can create with a few cue words, Keith!

  9. Hi Keith - great story telling .. and with our villages, fairs and markets - I can quite see them 'doing their thing' ... reminds me of Private Walker, the black-market spiv, in Dad's Army ... Florence - who knows! Fun .. cheers Hilary (and I did reply ... copy across from bottom left of screen - irritating ... )
