To the woods,to the woods!

I won’t be writing over the next few days as I’m taking off with my tent to commune with nature under the Wiltshire skies!

I’ll also be fitting in a couple of choral concerts at Salisbury Cathedral, visiting Stonehenge and spending time strolling through the beautiful New Forest.

I often get asked if I get a bit lonely out in the wilds on my own. Isn’t it a bit boring without the TV? Well, I can assure you it’s not! And if I suddenly crave conversation there is a beautiful old pub just down the lane from my campsite!

No, it’s great to spend some me time away from everyday life. Just me and the wildlife. And when it gets dark it gets really dark, perfect for reflecting on the departing day and what’s really important in life, away from the hustle and bustle of my normal existence.

I’ll be keeping an eye on you lot though – especially Rosey, tablet and Wi-Fi permitting! Normal business will be resume in a weeks time!

  2. I've got a vacation coming up, too. I suspect mine will run a bit longer, but I also will be hooking up to WiFi every chance I get.

  3. Now why on earth would you want to resume normal business when you can have the peace and quiet of the wilds, with the added bonus of being able to see stars at night?

  4. No rain for the next few days so you should be OK. Just beware of the Druids.

  5. Something we all seek but may not be given the opportunity. Enjoy yourself Keith!

  6. Enjoy your retreat in the South West Keith - we are tricky buggers down here so beware of men bearing cider...i am glad Rosey will be keeping watch and we eagerly await your return...

  8. We went camping last weekend. I am covered in bug bites, and it was hot as Hell. Hopefully, you'll have a better experience than me.
