Years ago.....

Friday Fictioneers  (followed by Wordless Wednesday)

Years ago there were bells up there. Above each bell was the name of a room. In the room, you could tug a chain and make the bell ring. The butler went to the room and received instructions.

What was the butler’s name?

Parsons.

There was a cook here and she had two helpers.

What was the cook’s name?

Mrs Jones.

She cooked the Master’s food and it would be taken to his room.

What was the Master’s name?

Lord Harrington.

What happened to them?

Parsons suddenly disappeared, Lord Harrington died a horrible death and Mrs Jones went to prison.

Word count 100

With apologies to Raina Ng for mucking around with the photo prompt!

  1. It was the bells that drove her to it. Answering like a trained dog for years.

  9. Such a room just has to be a setting for foul play. I bet many of those downstairs wished revenge on their 'betters' upstairs. I love how you've unfolded this story.
