A-Z Challenge 2017

Tales of everyday life in the coastal village of Amble Bay.

Hello and welcome to Amble Bay at the start of what I hope will be an enjoyable few weeks together. I’m going to start by introducing you to Arthur.

Arthur, come over here.  I’ve got people wanting to meet you.

Sorry I shouted, he doesn’t always hear me!

Arthur is the village’s eldest resident. He prefers the word eldest because oldest makes him sound, well, old! You are ninety-five years young, aren't you Arthur?

I said, you are ninety–five...

Oh dear, he’s forgotten his hearing aid again!

Anyway, Arthur’s a farmer. He’s got a few cows which he milks daily, some pigs and hens. By the way, if you want some of his eggs they sell them at the Fish Inn down in Amble Avenue. If there is anything you want to know about Amble Bay our Arthur will have the answer. Won’t you Arthur?

Won't you Arthur?

That’s enough for now. I’ll let you settle into the Cherry Tree Bed and Breakfast. Doreen’s expecting you. I’ll pick you up on Monday morning and take you down to the beach. Bye for now. Come on Arthur, it’s your round!

It's your round Arthur!

  8. Pleasure to meet you, Arthur!

He sounds very knowledgeable. Love the insider dope on local history that only a long time resident and a senior citizen can give. Wonderful start to your A-Z!

See you at the Beach tomorrow.

  38. Hi, Keith! Shweta referred me to you. I've just learned that Sorchia Dubois is compiling a list of bloggers who are writing fiction for the A to Z Challenge. She's using LinxZ, so the opportunity to add our own blogs is open for only the 1st week of the Challenge. If you're interested in a bit more exposure, you might check it out. I just added Space, Time, and Raspberries, and I'm spreading the word to the other 6 fiction authors I've found, like you. I'm going to add an additional 6 from Sorchia, and publish them on my daily posts, too.
