.

During April I will once again join the hundreds of bloggers partaking in the A-Z Challenge. As I have to write a story a day, I may be absent from some of my more usual venues! My 2017 theme reveal can be found HERE

Post 1490. Wednesday March 29

Friday Fictioneers

As I watch boats leaving the busy harbour I dream of sailing to an island, my treasure island. No need for tattered maps and buried trinket-filled trunks, for there, treasure surrounds me. I see it the rocks, in trees bowed low with olives; treasure between my toes as I stroll along its sandy sun-blessed shore. I find it in the wings of butterflies, petals of flowers and in the golden setting sun. True treasure, nature's treasure. My treasure for as long as I stay and mine again when I return, for return I shall.

Thanks to Rochelle at Friday Fictioneers for hosting and Fatima Fakier Deria for the photo prompt.

  4. This would be found treasure indeed. My fantasy would be to live near the ocean where I could walk the sandy beach barefoot each day, breathing in the salt air and sending my cares out to sea. Lovely writing!
