They said it would snow.....wrong!

I polished the bottom of a tea tray, I strapped tennis rackets to my feet, I put a tea cosy on my head, I stuck my hands in some oven gloves. Then I stood at the top of a hill and waited....and waited....and waited.

It rained.

  1. I think it's been raining nonstop just about everywhere this year. Even our lawn is 6" long but too wet to mow.

    1. I suspect our weather down on the UK's southeast coast is similar to yours. When will ever stop raining - and blowing!

  2. If only this rain would turn to snow - at least for a little while. We are heartily sick of it. Fingers crossed that you can use that polished tea tray soon.

    1. The weatherman says it will will, but what does he know?

  3. We finally have a LITTLE white now, but not enough to make the people who run the ski slopes happy. Even in the best of times, we can't count on forecasts here in the highly-localized northeast corner of Vermont; actual weather depends on which side of the hill you're on, how far from the lake, etc.

    1. We have a similar weather pattern here thanks Beachy Head and the massive cliffs a few miles down the coast. In our case it depends on which side of the cliffs we are on. Cheers Ron.

  6. That conjures a curious image, especially sopping wet!

  7. I'll take some of that rain thank you. The drought here shows no sign of breaking....neither is the heat...
