One hundred words for Friday Fictioneers
She wandered past the band. ‘One Day My Prince Will Come’ they played.
Is today the day my prince will come she wondered?
She meandered between the beds of nodding flowers
Is this a sign ?
He was handsome and his dog fine-looking. As they strolled in her direction his dog
bounded up to her. He followed.
He smiled enchantingly and she smiled sweetly in return.
Is this him?
“Hi” he said. “Hi” said she.
She gazed into his glinting eyes. He gazed into hers.
My prince?
“My dog likes you” he said. “What’s his name?” said she.
“Prince” he said.

That made me LOL
ReplyDeleteGlad it didn't make you bark!
DeleteOh, it's so deflating when your prince is a bit of a dog!
ReplyDeleteNice twist.
Ditto.
DeleteThank you folks!
DeleteNow that's funny.
DeleteEspecially if your dog's name is Prince which is unpronounceable and plays guitar.
LOL!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous twist!
ReplyDeleteThere's always a chance that he approves of his dog's tastes.
ReplyDeleteThis should be made into a movie! The dog could be the biggest sign though. Or maybe he named his dog after him. Haha. Regardless, I love this.
ReplyDeleteI'll bear that in mind when I'm writing the screen play!
DeleteShe shouldn't be disappointed. A dog will never let her down. However, there was a young man at the other end of Prince's lead, so maybe ... Nice story.
ReplyDeleteHa.. Great way to find a handsome prince,
ReplyDeleteDear Keith,
ReplyDeleteWoof! Her Prince came. Nice.
Shalom,
Rochelle
