And todays reading....

A young man came in to the pub the other day. It was his eighteenth birthday, and he wanted to celebrate by purchasing his first ‘legal’ pint!
In his hand he was clutching a pewter beer tankard he’d been given as a present, and on it were inscribed the words -
’When I was a child, I spoke as a child, understood as a child, and thought as a child. When I became a man I put away childish things and drank beer’.

  2. The coming of age, your first drink and what ever else falls into that category if such a huge milestone for youth, yet the loss of all things innocent somehow saddens me. I guess I reflect on that now because my son will in a few years be able taste his first beer without supervision lol.
    Ah such is life.

  4. What do you mean by "his first legal drink"? You don't mean that people drink underage over there too? *GASP!* Shocking!
