Post 1590. Tuesday August 29

You didn't ask. You just walked into my mind; an uninvited guest who struck my heart with cupid’s arrow.

Until then my life was ordered, regulated. I was content.

For reasons I will never understand I stood aside and let you change everything, things before then I’d felt comfortable with.

You rearranged my thoughts, my memories, my hopes, my ambitions. I was no longer my own person, you took over. I looked on as you invaded my very being.

Then as suddenly as you arrived you walked away leaving a ring of destruction 'round my bleeding heart. Why oh why did I allow you to occupy my mind?

  5. I've met this person too. The worst part is when someone asks 'whatever happened to ___ ?'. And you have no idea.

  13. Hi Keith! This is so true. Love hurts .....it always does. Especially when its over! At least one, if not both (as in this case) does get hurt badly. I loved your take on this prompt. Also a reminder how Love makes one so deeply vulnerable. And, it takes quite a while to come out of the whole episode. This was really poignant! I invite you to take a look at my blogposts at https://thetinaedit.com/. Cheers!
