If only I’d had two minutes more I would have caught that bus. I would have made it to the shop before it closed. I'd have bought some delicious wine, a microwave meal and some yummy chocolate, then caught the bus home again. Right now I’d be watching the six-o-clock news.
As it is I’m drinking tepid skimmed milk and eating a tasteless curled up sandwich whilst watching the eight-o-clock news about someone who was running, tripped, fell in front of a bus and ended up in hospital.
Nurse, a bedpan please!
.
Very amusing, Keith
ReplyDeleteA very amusing read… It leaves me wondering whether you have actually done this?

DeleteBrilliantly imagined! Poor fellow. ~shudders~ I try very hard not to end up hospitalized.
ReplyDeleteMe too Darla!
DeleteFunny!
ReplyDeleteNot for him sadly!
DeleteLOL's :) Sad, but at least there's another chance of the planned meal and hopefully, no buses will be in sight! Well written... :)
ReplyDeleteYep, better luck next time! Thanks Jessie
DeleteAny visit to hospital is a good incentive to take better care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteWe sometimes take 2 minutes for granted yet when you miss your ride, it's everything.
ReplyDeleteOh dear..... :-) nice twist!
ReplyDeleteFunny story, Keith. That was a great twist at the end. :D --- Suzanne
