Our prompt at A Prompt Each Day today is one word, Light.
I rarely write verse, but now and again I flex my poetic muscles to make sure they are still in working order!
In the days last light
a silver mist meanders
twixt the trees.
Swirling
slowly.
Chilling the air
A little spooky, but i could actually visualize a tree swirling outside a window in the darkness of the night
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by DEE DEE
DeleteVery well carved ! Keith.
ReplyDeleteThank you Usha, much appreciated
DeleteThe words and the picture are perfect together. We're in the middle of summer when the mist is hot and steamy humid awfulness instead of cooling.
ReplyDeleteWe are also mid-summer here, but hot and steamy we certainly are not!
DeleteNice! Reminds me when the fog mixes with the trees in California.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for taking the time to comment. It's much appreciated.
DeleteThat is lovely. The words and image give me a cool feeling despite the scorching weather in my tiny corner of the world. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGlad I could be of service Darla!
DeleteChilling (in the temperature sense) and atmospheric. Love the word 'twixt' - a word solely for poetry :-)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it though! It certainly not a word I utter that often.
