I haven't dropped by Magpie Tales for a while, but when I saw this week's picture prompt I'd thought I'd join in. So here is a little piece of nonsense I wrote down exactly as it came into my head. Not sure what that says about me, but here goes!
Shabby chic he calls it. I’m not sure about that. Shabby
yes, but more cheap than chic! It’s the height of domiciliary fashion he told
me. Really? More trashion than fashion I think. An eclectic mix he claims.
That’s one way of putting it.
A miscellany he said.
A jumble said I, A gallimaufry, he. A hotchpotch,I. An omnium-gatherum, he. A
what? I. A salmagundi, he. You’ve lost me! I.
Well he likes it. Obviously.
Me? I’m an Ikea kinda guy. Modern and minimalist. He’s not
keen. Says it’s basic and boring. Simple and stunning I tell him. Dreary and
dull according to him. Contemporaneity for me said I. Clinicality if you ask me
said he.
Aesthetically pleasing, I. No it’s not, he. Contenting, I. A
glass of wine? he. In a modern glass? I. Vive la difference, he. Cheers, I.
What's right for one may not be another's cup of tea! Agreeing to disagree, I call it!! Enjoyed reading this difference of opinion!
