What you can't see was the gale force winds and flooded roads! But yes, it was. I think it was best described as bracing!

What a great contrast. I know which I prefer, at least when it's minus midges. You should have been OK this week, though.
The midges were sensible and stayed away from the wind and rain!
But you've probably escaped a lot of snow :)
