I have stayed close to my home for this week's Wordless Wednesday. These pictures depict some of the numerous ditches (known as dykes) which criss-cross Pevensey Marsh on the East Sussex coast, a large wetland and grazing pasture which once formed the seabed.
Love it.
ReplyDeleteI love these - especially the fence!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! Mine
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Were you affecting by the floods last year?
ReplyDeleteYes Shadow, it turned back into an ocean for a few weeks!
ReplyDeleteLove the place! Its so rustic and chic at the same time =) #ww
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a nice place to ramble, Keith. Nice shots!
ReplyDeleteIf I didn't know what your ditches are at first glance it looks like a creek. Are you familiar with that term? After consulting the dictionary, a dike and creek sound very alike. I'm not sure of the differences, if any. Oh well...the lush green English landscape, tall golden grass, and weathered fence along the dike is totally picturesque. What a beautiful place to photograph! Happy #WW!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful "neighborhood"!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots! Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice pictures, it sure looks like a place we would enjoy.
ReplyDeletejust gorgeous!! I was down in the ditches too - but there was no water so I went for the close ups, instead of the wide angles.
