Clouds.
Playing hide 'n seek with the sun.
Now you see it, now you don't, then it's back again.
Clouds.
Puffy pillows of white and grey
Drifting silently amid a sky of brightest blue.
So tall, so majestic, so mystical.
Clouds.
A sign of rain to come. Or snow or wind or light or shade.
Or swords of lightning that slash the ground.
Clouds

As usual Keith, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAmbre and Missy - thankyou so much for your generous comments.
ReplyDeleteI took these pics on Tuesday at the beach whilst photographing Alice and her friend on their horses. Fortunately they (the clouds - not the horses!) stayed put and we continued to enjoy a spectacular Summer's day!
Keith please go to the poetry coffee house and critique my first poem. It was written as a Flash 55 challenge, yes, another game.
ReplyDeleteThis one though challenges you to write a piece utilizing 55 words only...
The fact that I enjoy entendres is no secret around town (lol)...So, you can rest assured that it is a metaphor indeed!
very nicely done sir and what beautiful pics you took.
ReplyDeleteDid you rise from the water to take these pics? Certainly seems like that is where you were. Such devotion to duty.
ReplyDeleteActually dickiebo, I have this strange ability to walk on water. Must be something I inherited.
ReplyDeleteI'm floating.
