These are my hundred words for Friday Fictioneers.
She had but days. Just time to visit special places, childhood haunts.
Boys said the echoing tunnel was haunted. They dared her to run through. Sometimes they hid in the darkness and jumped out on her!
When she was older she scratched her name in the brickwork. Was it still there?
She stood in the entrance.
“Hello” she called....HelloHelloHelloHello....it echoed.
“Anybody there?".....theretheretherethere....?
She smiled, as she wandered in.
She found her name, but below was scrawled RIP. On the floor some flowers.
She heard a rushing sound.
“Hello?” she called.....FarewellFarewellFarewellFarewell....it echoed.
She looked at peace when they found her.

Even if she had but days left, I doubt she'd have wished to be buried there! Hope she's at peace.
